Broadstairs Business Club get asked a lot of questions and we thought it would be useful to make some of these available for you here. Take a look and if you have any more, please feel free to get in touch with us.
Broadstairs Business Club meets every fortnight on a Thursday morning at Thanet Squash Rackets Club, Francis Rd, Broadstairs CT10 3NJ.
The cost to become a member is £210 per year. Membership year runs from the 1st January to the 31st December each year and members will be invited to join again each year if they have fulfilled the responsibilities of being a club member.
The annual £210 membership fee will be pro-rated at £17.50 per month for each full or part of the month between the date of joining and the end of the calendar year.
Members are encouraged to attend every meeting in order to get the most out of the networking opportunities that Broadstairs Business Club offers. But the club does recognise that is not always possible so members are required to attend at least one per month and 15 per year.
On the week of each meeting you will receive a WhatsApp notification, to remind you of the next meeting. Our web & social media team at Broadbiz Web Services have developed a web app where you can let us know that you are attending, what breakfast you require OR to tell us why you can't make that meeting – i.e. holiday, illness etc, so that we can confirm final numbers with the venue.
No, you don't have to provide a substitute, but it may be worthwhile getting someone to stand in for you to promote your business if possible. The data that we have collected since we started in 2016 shows that the better the attendance, the better the networking opportunities, although we do appreciate sending a sub is not always possible.
No, we only want members to pass quality referrals. So if you don't have any at any meetings that is OK. We prefer QUALITY rather than QUANTITY! But please remember the more referrals you GIVE the more you will RECEIVE.
One REALLY important thing to do is arrange regular 1-2-1 meetings with each Member of the Club. This will help you both to understand what you both do and to be aware of the type of people who you are looking for introduction to.
