Our private language school offers year-round junior English courses for foreign students.

Our school was founded in September 2009 and has grown rapidly over the last 10 years. In 2020, we are looking forward to welcoming approximately 10,000 students from all over the globe.

The school employs around 50 members of staff. This includes teachers, activity leaders, managers and ancillary staff. We also work with around 140 homestay providers who host students throughout the year.

Following our British Council inspection in April 2019, we are pleased to say we are now the number-1 year-round junior provider in the UK.

  • Short Junior English courses for foreign students
  • Training for the DipTESOL qualification
  • Training for homestay providers: HELP (Homestay English Language Provision)
  • Residential and homestay accommodation for students

Testimonials

Commitment and Professionalism from Every Member of Staff - Broadstairs English Centre

Being party leader of a group of 120 teenagers may sound very brave to some or foolish to others but it certainly becomes an easy task when you have booked your stay with Broadstairs English Centre.

The commitment and the professionalism of every member of staff make you feel at ease and welcome as soon as you arrive in Broadstairs. Last year our students particularly loved the evening activities, as the people in charge always made sure that everybody was enjoying every minute of it. However, they were also very keen on the lessons they had every morning which improved their fluency and confidence. The day out in London was a huge success too.

Overall, what our students will remember for a long time is the fun they had during that week. Most of them will also remember the hospitality of their host families, and the conversations they had in English. Some families even offer door-to-door service for younger students which means parents don't worry as much!

On a more personal level I did appreciate all the efforts made to consider our suggestions or special requests. As group leaders, we were offered some free English classes and a free private morning excursion with an experienced teacher - this was great fun!

For all these reasons, I can honestly say that my colleagues and I are all looking forward to our next stay with the BEC in this beautiful part of the country.
